About the Journal
Journal of Perioperative Nursing publishes original research articles, reviews, discussion papers, case studies, and project reports focused on all aspects of perioperative nursing. Its scope spans the surgical care continuum, from a patient’s referral for surgery to discharge and complete recovery.
The journal’s primary audience is nurses caring for perioperative and peri-procedural patients across diverse settings, including pre-admission clinics, day surgery units, interventional suites, operating theatres, recovery rooms, and surgical wards.
Multidisciplinary and international submissions are encouraged, provided they align with the journal’s aims and contribute to advancing the global perioperative nursing community.
The Journal of Perioperative Nursing is a not-for-profit, peer-reviewed publication of the Australian College of Perioperative Nurses (ACORN).
As a diamond open-access journal, all articles are freely available to readers, with no submission or processing charges for authors. Authors retain copyright of their work, which is published under a Creative Commons Attribution License 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) licence.
